DWS
This is an image of a detectable warning surface, also known as a DWS, at a wheelchair ramp. The DWS alerts blind and low-vision travelers that they are at a curb. This image shows a DWS that is broken. Poor maintenance of DWS’s can cause tripping hazards for all pedestrians.
